resolvations.

Remember when i told you about my craving for a mozzaburger late at night the other night? It was induced by my sweet wife bringing home A-W for herself and herself only. To be fair, she thought that i had already eaten and wouldn't be hungry. Which just doesn't cut it for an excuse but i'll let it slide this time because she's pretty neato. It got me thinking, Thinking that i really want a mozza burger combo. remember in the last post how i was trying to convince my pal to get outta bed, come pick me up and take me to the A-W so that he could buy me a mozza burger combo with either a strawberry shake or a coffee? I failed. and i can admit that., but the reason is because as i was trying to convince him to come get me and take me to get a mozzaburger combo and buy it for me, he was trying to convince ME to pick HIM up and take HIM to the nearest Dairy Queen for a blizzard with scor bar crumbes in it. WHATEVER!...like as if that's gonna happen. Soooo, we struck a compromise and he stayed in bed and at 10:30 last night i found myself driving down to the local A-W, (which isn't really that local at all), and buying for myself the aformentioned mozza burger combo that my pal wouldn't buy for me. it turned out to be one of the best decisions that i have ever made. that was a good burger. the fries i didn't really care for, they are just filler anyways, and the rootbeer, although it's a standard, isn't usually my first pick. But it seemed right for the occasion. the A-W that i went to is in Coquitlam, and it doesn't have milkshakes, It turns out that there is only one A-W that I know of that makes strawberry milkshakes, and it's on E. Hastings street. And although their milkshakes bring all the boys to the yard, it was to far away. and besides, their milkshake machine is broken.

In other news, i've added a couple more links to the side over there. check em out. they are cool .

as i write this i am simultainiously (?) trying to convince my pal to come pick me up and take me to the nearest A-W, and then buy me a mozza (?) burger combo with extra seasoning on the fries and either a strawberry milkshake or a coffee.

This could very well be one of the coolest shots ever, from one of the absolute worst biker flicks ever made– Rebel Rousers. Shot in 1967, it actually had a pretty decent cast– Jack Nicholson, Bruce Dern, Diane Ladd (Dern’s wife), and Harry Dean Stanton. The film was shelved and then dusted-off in ‘69, when Nicholson’s star power was boosted by the release of Easyrider, and all of a sudden Rebel Rousers seemed like a sure thing hit release. Trust me, just watch the trailer after the jump, and that’ll be all you’ll ever need to see of this flick. Jack Nicholson’s get-up and Harley are the only memorable bits– Nicholson looks like a 60’s psychedelic tribute to Lee Marvin’s iconic, misfit biker character Chino from The Wild One. Gotta love the stripes. They both also rode Harley Bobbers on screen– Nicholson on a ‘45 HD Flathead for Rebel Rousers, and Lee Marvin tore it up on a ‘49 or ‘50 Flathead (I originally thought it was a Panhead from some old pics, but nope…) in The Wild One.

ok. i felt kinda bad, i thought ab it, i didn't take this seriously enuff. here is their website.
you owe it to yourself, and your mother to check it out.
http://www.deadmilkmen.com/
this blog o mine has turned into not so much what i thought it would be. i thought i'd tell more tales and stories from the old days. not so much.. more like music and bieks. that should say "bikes".
i guess it's lazy-ness. i poach everything, all these things that influence me and interest me.
oh well.
however, i am working on something that i've been thinking about for a while.
i can't tell you ab it now, b/c even i am concerned about failure.
not really.
they say that if you don't fail, you won't know how to succeed.
whoever "they" are..
all i can say is that it involves true life tales of the 50's. which i have decided is my favorite period of time. and maybe the 60's too, but not the hippies. no way.

this band is called the "dead milkmen". i love them. they are one of the bands that i listened to religiously when i was a youngster. i think one of them is dead now. however, i don't think they were ever real milkmen. me and my pals made music videos to this song, (not this video). and if you ever see the one that we made, something went terribly wrong. nobody should ever have to be punished like that.

I taught the weeping willow how to cry...

should auld acquaintance be forgot,

and never brought to mind ?

should auld acquaintance be forgot,

and auld lang syne ?

for auld lang syne, my jo,

for auld lang syne,

we’ll tak a cup o’ kindness yet,

for auld lang syne.
and surely ye’ll be your pint-stowp !

and surely I’ll be mine !

And we’ll tak a cup o’ kindness yet,

for auld lang syne.

we twa hae run about the braes,

and pu’d the gowans fine ;

but we’ve wander’d mony a weary foot,

sin auld lang syne.

we twa hae paidl’d i' the burn,

frae morning sun till dine ;

but seas between us braid hae roar

’dsin auld lang syne.

and there’s a hand, my trusty fiere !

and gie's a hand o’ thine !

and we’ll tak a right gude-willy waught,

for auld lang syne.
